Tristan Copelan is an American drummer originally from Minneapolis MN who now resides in Los Angeles CA.

 

Tristan had his first experiences in the music industry starting at a young age along side his parents who are veterans in the industry.

 

In the fall of 2020, Tristan started at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He graduated with honors from their Drum Performance program. A pivotal moment in Tristan’s time at the Musicians Institute was getting the opportunity to learn under Fred Dinkins. Fred was an important part of Tristan taking the next step in his development as a musician.

 

Since relocating to Los Angeles, Tristan has worked with Robin Diaz, Dirk Verbeuren, and John Tempesta to help further master his craft both in the studio and live performance.

 

In late 2023, Tristan hit the road as the touring drummer for Garzi. He followed up in 2024 accompanying Layto on his spring tour. In June, Tristan headed to Europe to play with both opening act, Stitched Up Heart and closing with headliners, Escape the Fate showcasing his abilities to perform two shows in the same night.
